Amalgamate Interiors is a free-lace business focusing on commercial, residential interior designs, including renovations, conversions, space planning and 3D renders using ArchiCAD, AutoCAD and sketch up.
Other skills include Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat XI Pro, hand drawing, rendering & lighting specifics.
Influences such as amphibious housing, globalisation and current Architects such as Koen Olthuis, who are dealing with the issues of flooding, have inspired my final project and focus of my research dissertation through out my degree.
Other inspirations and issues that have shaped my designs is the work-life balance. The rush of life, having no time for yourself impacts on a lot of people, researching into different ways of creating ‘You Time’ for everybody by ‘Designing an Hour’ which is one of my projects.
Experience- I have designed a gym/studio conversion for OneLife Academy in Warrington, Cheshire. This included taking the cieling out to expose original beams, stud walls to create the best space possible all on a small budget.
Also i space planned a health food shop in Runcorn, Cheshire which is currently being developed.
Other experiences include working along side Interior Designers from Falconer & Chester Hall Architects to help gain knowledge and the relationships between Interior Designers and Architects.
Currently gaining experience with MEG Design Architect drawing plans and 3D renders until present.
